View of the Russell House during demolition. Brick wall sign reads: "Morton's Shaker bread. Cleanliness our motto, our bakery is open for inspection, bring your friends." Pile driver and "Russell House, Detroit, Mich. W.C.K. & Co., date 5-4-06" sign in background. The Russell House closed on November 19, 1905, was subsequently demolished and replaced by the Pontchartrain Hotel. Typed on front: "Russell House looking south toward Metropole wall."
