Small two-story clapboard house with awning in front, appears to be a store of some kind. Surrounded by other commercial buildings. Located at 844 Fort St. West. Handwritten on back: "This building stood on site of present McGraw Bld. It was school house of Philo. M. Patterson. Mr. Mason S. Safford says this is a mistake. This house was on Seventeenth St. where the Hargreaves Mfg. now stands and was owned by Samuel Hargreaves. It was a cottage and was raised [sic]. (Feb. 8, 1918), 844 Fort St. W."
