View of bronze tablet marking the site of the first brick house in Detroit, located on the Krolik Building on the southeast corner of Jefferson and Randolph. Inscription reads: "On this site in 1807 Governor Hull built the first brick house in Detroit. It was occupied in 1813 by General Harrison for Army headquarters and later for the Army hospital. Subsequently used by General Alexander Macomb, also William Wodobridge, Secretary of the Territory. Placed by General Alexander Macomb Chapter, U.S. Daughters of 1812, 1940."
