Printed on front: "Fort Street, looking east, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "Fort Street, looking east, Detroit, Mich. First red building at left is the Detroit Club. The building with clock in tower is the post office. The high white building is the new Dime Bank building, the highest and largest office building in Michigan. C.T. Co., Chicago, R-39157." Handwritten on back: "Dear mother, I got hear [sic] alright. Mary was at the [illegible] we had a fine dinner today Sunday. The folks are all well. My cold is a little better today. Mary is well ... etc." Card is postmarked August 25, 1913.
