View of a 1917 Cunningham runabout. Stamped on back: "The Cunningham car. Style no. 7A. Model V. James Cunningham Son & Co. Rochester, N.Y." Handwritten on back: "1917 Cunningham V, 132" whb. Style #7A, 2/4-p. runabout. This body type (with dual rear-mounted spares, step plates instead of a running board, & nickled headlamps & windshield frame) was exhibited by Cunningham at the 14th Annual Automobile Salon held at the Hotel Astor in New York, 2-9 January 1918. Another photograph in the N.A.H. collection (photographed at the same time & location, but a different angle) shows the car with its rumble seat open, & both the driving seat top & emergency rumble seat top in position. Although a 1916 New Jersey plate is shown on the car, it is believed that this is a 1917 model. Cunningham, 1917."
