View of an 1898 Serpollet steamer. Handwritten on back: "Serpollet steamer, 1898. 4 cylinder opposed [undecipherable]. Working with values like autos. [undecipherable] and is absolutely unique in France. Engine is located under the floor of back seats and connected directly to differential by a very short chain. Fine body by Kellner, owned by Jean Djaniouian, Paris. (Gardner) Serpollet, c.1902."
