Print #1397-2 ("E"), P-47 final installation line. Final assembly, off the end of which a P-47 wing rolls completed, and the wing is 'sold' to the Army representatives. Above, final installations are made of elevator and landing gear, cables and landing lights and elevator and landing gear are tested. The dollies on which the wing rests are equipped with gear and trunnion to tip the work and make it more accessible. On this operation conveyorization saves 26,620 man-hours per month, and 308 workers now do the work of 422."
