View of several men posing with a Sargent Clertrac Model A hydraulic snowplow at Wolf Creek Pass in the Colorado Rockies. The snowplows were manufactured by the Maine Steel Products Co. in South Portland, Maine. Printed on front: "View #5. Here the snow was 4 men deep. Four cuts were necessary. Each man is standing on the level of a cut. The fourth cut scraped the gravel. The Sargent super-suction cutter bar guarantees close and clean plowing on the last cut, as definitely as the hydraulic nose control guarantees steering up and down over many feet of snow where necessary."
