View of three women posing in front of car during the 1909 annual excursion for orphans sponsored by the Orphan's Automobile Day Committee of New York. Women wear large hats; woman on right wears ribbon on lapel and holds a purse. Approximately 1,800 children were taken on a trip to the Dreamland amusement park at Coney Island. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, telephones 3472-3473 Columbus, 1931 Broadway, New York." Handwritten on back: "Tours--New York Orphans Day outing, 1909."
