Handwritten on front: "Al Brush driving the first Cadillac Model A up the Shelby [St.] hill, Detroit, 1903." Handwritten on back: "1903 Cadillac, Model A. 1 cy., 10 h.p., 70" whb. 4-p. touring with detachable rear-entrance tonneau. $850 f.o.b. A notation on mounting board of this photograph reads 'Al Brush driving the first Cadillac Mod. A up the Shelby St. hill, Detroit, 1903.' Although certainly an early Model A, this is almost certainly not the very first Cadillac built."
