A section of the welding department in the new body-building operation installed in DeSoto's Warren Avenue plant in Dearborn. The DeSoto is an all-steel body, welded together, and the welding department contains 540 separate welding machines and guns. One machine produces 198 welds in 17 seconds at the push of a button.
