International Harvester Company, 180 No. Michigan Ave., Chicago, Ill. I-35-GG. This woman employe on torpedo production operates a grinding machine. The part she is shown measuring with a micrometer must be machined to a tolerance of .0005 or 1/2 thousandths of an inch. Trained in a special course for this work, she had only a few months' prior experience as a machine operator. She sets up her own machine for the work. Jan. 13, 1943." Handwritten on back: "Women workers."
