The endurance contest covered a route from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Atlantic City, New Jersey. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, telephones 3472-3473 Columbus, 1931 Broadway, New York." Handwritten on back: "American Traveler #30 driven by J.E. Fountain [sic] on the road at Oceanville. Tours--Quaker City Motor Club Roadability Run, 1911."
