Rear view of New York Taxicab Co. taxis lined up in street during the 1909 annual excursion for orphans sponsored by the Orphan's Automobile Day Committee of New York. Cabs are decorated with "Dreamland" pennants; cab on right displays "To Dreamland" banners. Approximately 1,800 children were taken on a trip to the Dreamland amusement park at Coney Island. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, telephones 3472-3473 Columbus, 1931 Broadway, New York." Handwritten on back: "Taxi busses, N.Y. Taxi Co. Tours--New York Orphans Day outing, 1909."
