View of children and motorists in Darracq taxicabs during the 1909 annual excursion for orphans sponsored by the Orphan's Automobile Day Committee of New York. Cabs are decorated with "Dreamland" pennants and "Orphans Day, N.Y. Taxicab Co." signs. Approximately 1,800 children were taken on a trip to the Dreamland amusement park at Coney Island. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, telephones 3472-3473 Columbus, 1931 Broadway, New York." Handwritten on back: "Darracq taxi. Tours--New York Orphans Day outing, 1909."
