Contestants circled Lake Michigan, passing through Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana. Handwritten on back: "The road to Gary was like a billiard table and took fifty miles an hour, RCH press car coming, Chicago Reliability Run, 1912. Tours--Chicago Reliability Run, 1912."
