Printed on front of duplicate: "This picture of the Detroit baseball team which won the first world series from the late Charles Comiskey's St. Louis club was taken 52 years ago in 1887, the year of the series. 'Deacon' White, who died last Saturday, is seated in the center of the group to the upper right of the man in civilian clothes. He pitched and played third base for Detroit. The photograph was found in some old furniture purchased by Floyd Tuttle about 15 years ago and is now the property of the Ilion Fish and Game Club, through a donation by Tuttle. With the death of White, its value is increased, but the club plans to make it a part of the collection at the Baseball Centennial Museum at Cooperstown.
