Two views of a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray convertible. Printed on front: "1968 Sting Ray Corvette. Another significant car in the evolution of the Corvette made its debut in 1968. Using design cues from the Mako Shark II show car of 1965, this Sting Ray sported all-new exterior and interior styling, hidden headlights that 'popped up' into position rather than rotating and concealed windshield wipers under a vacuum-operated panel. The 3-speed Turbo Hydra-matic transmission replaced the 2-speed Powerglide. The coupe featured 'T-top' removable roof panels -- an industry first for production cars.
