View of the Dr. Ossian H. Sweet house, located on 2905 Garland, at the corner of Charlevoix. Two-story brick house has covered entry porch and roof dormer. Handwritten on back: "1927. House purchased by Dr. Ossian H. Sweet, Negro physician, in an otherwise white neighborhood. Slaying of Leon Breiner during a disturbance in front of the Sweet home, 2905 Garland, led to the famous 'Sweet Case,' in which Henry Sweet was defended by Clarence Darrow."
