Since Hertz's activities are usually associated with the big game preserve, the Hertz car, in all porbability [sic] will play a leading part in one of the most important of all the various Hertz transportation enterprises. Consolidation of the Peoples' Motor Bus Company of St. Louis, the Chicago Motor Coach Company and the Fifth Avenue Coach Company of New York under the title of the Omnibus Corporation of America, is one of the cab magnate's late exploits still fresh in the public mind. Altho the Hertz car is designed along smartly conventional lines, it bears the impress of its yellow Cab paternity in its husky construction. The price is quoted at $1,695. f.o.b. Chicago, plus tax, sales representatives describing it as a specialized vehicle for revenue producing service. In view of the aggressive entry of the Yellow Cab Manufacturing Company into the drive yourself business it is taken for granted that the new Hertz will cut an important figure in the development of this latest form of public motor transportation."
