View of a parade float in the form of a warship during the 1918 Peace Parade. Sign on side of float: "Uncle Sam asked the American Shipbuilding Co. for 72 ships in 1918. Showing a real spirit of patriotism they gave him 90. 27 of the 90 ships were built by the Detroit Shipbuilding Co., 9 more than its original quota." Printed on photograph: "Peace Parade, Nov 28th 1918, Detroit Shipbuilding Co., Detroit, Mich." Embossed on front: "J.F. Jones, Detroit."
