The Detroiter Hotel, 2560 Woodward, quietly entered a new phase of its life Wednesday when 70 elderly persons took up residence there. The hotel will be operated by the Carmelite Sisters, of Germantown, N.Y., as a Catholic home for the elderly. The hotel was bought by the Archdiocese for $1,000,000." Stamped on back: "Jun 2, 1955."
