Mr. Barber was born in Clio, Genesee County, Michigan, March 2nd, 1868. April 12th, 1893, he was united in marriage to Effie A. Lee, at Durand, Michigan. She was born in Flushing township, Genesee County, Michigan, February 19th, 1871. Mr. and Mrs. Barber are parents of three children, Lee L., born April 23rd, 1894; Loyd [sic] V., born August 19th, 1896; and Florence M., born December 29th, 1897. Mr. Barber is engaged in the wholesale and retail meat business, his market being located in the corner store shown in the accompanying picture. He enjoys a large and profitable patronage.
