Brown on his farm west of Montrose village. Mr. Brown was born in Orleans County, New York, December 30th, 1834. December 23rd, 1869 he was united in marriage to Olive A. Jackson. She was born in Leeds County, Canada West, March 23rd, 1846. Mr. and Mrs. Brown are parents of five children, four of whom are living, born as follows: Emma V., born May 7th, 1871; Ephraim A., born July 23rd, 1873; Ella M., born February 29th, 1876; Frank L., born May 31st, 1880; Floyd E., born April 17th, 1882. Frank L., died July 19th, 1880. Mr. Brown, who is a very successful farmer, owns 120 acres of land, 80 acres of which are on section 25, and 40 acres on section 17. He came to Montrose in 1880."
