This illustration shows the residence of Homer Larkin on his 80 acre farm on section 30 of this township. Mr. Larkin was born in Erie County, New York, September 8th, 1833. July 15th, 1855, he was united in marriage to Minerva Tozer at Busti, New York. She was born at Busti, Chautaugua County, New York, April 11th, 1830. Mr. and Mrs. Larkin are parents of three children, born as follows; Warren E., born at Busti, New York, November 13th, 1856; Carrie G., born in Jackson County, Michigan, November 8th, 1859; Fayette D., born in Montrose township, Genesee County, Michigan, March 9th, 1862. Mr. and Mrs. Larkin are pioneers of the township having come here in 1857. They have aided largely in clearing away the forests and have taken an active part in the development of this part of the township. They are among the most highly esteemed citizens of the township."
