View of men and women posing on the porch of the Montrose Hotel in Montrose, Michigan. Sign on building reads: "Montrose Hotel, livery." Printed on front: "No. 20." Label on back: "Montrose Hotel. This building is the Montrose Hotel and was erected by A.V. Hiscock in 1889. It is located on Railroad St. near the depot. The building is of wood and is 24 x 36 feet, two stories high, with a one story addition in the rear 20 x 20 feet, the entire building contains 15 rooms. Mr. Hiscock conducted the hotel until May 1st, 1899, when the business was purchased by Eugene F. Wescott, who now conducts it. Mr. Wescott also has a good livery in connection."
