The building here shown is the building in which the Montrose Record is to be printed in the near future. It is owned by Haight Bros., the proprietors of the Montrose Record, and is now being pushed to completion as rapidly as possible. The building is 20 feet wide, 40 feet long and two stories high and is of solid brick. The Montrose Record was established by Charles F. Haight and Clarence D. Haight under the firm name of Haight Bros. in 1896, the first issue making its appearance May 1st. The paper was issued semi-monthly, being published the first and 15th of each month, until May 1st, 1898 when it was changed into a weekly. It is now an eight page paper published every Friday. The office is well equipped for doing all kinds of job and book printing as well as newspaper work. The presses are a Hoe drum cylinder and a Liberty jobber, and are operated by steam power."
