Sign on far right reads [in part]: "U of [M], Womans Cl[ub], on to Dam[?]" Men, wearing dresses and bonnets, hold signs reading: "Representation at Joe's back table," "3 weeks until Spring vocal," "Wenley's removal from the faculty," and "Peanuts for balcony gods and grangers." Woman, wearing a picture hat, leads a man on a leash. Judges' stand and spectators in background. These fairs were held every three years by the Michigan Union, a male-only organization, although fifty different student organizations participated. Funds raised were intended to construct a clubhouse for the Union.
