View of students participating in a parade for the University of Michigan Triennial County Fair in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Students, costumed as soldiers, pose with rifles, cannon, American flag and snare drums. Man on horseback on right; spectators and judges' stand in background. These fairs were held every three years by the Michigan Union, a male-only organization, although fifty different student organizations participated. Funds raised were intended to construct a clubhouse for the Union.
