View of motorists posing in 1913 Marion car at the Lincoln Memorial in Hodgenville, Kentucky. Label on back: "Hoosier Motor Club officials at Lincoln's birthplace near Buffalo, Ky. In connection with the recent Tri-States Good Roads Convention at Mammouth [sic] Cave, Ky. the officials of the Hoosier Motor Club toured to that famous point, and en route stopped to see the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln. The little log cabin, in which he was born, stands on its original site, but it is now covered and protect by beautiful stone edifice. In the Marion 1913 car standing in front of the stair-way to the beautiful building are, Honorable Charles A. Bookwalter, Ex-Mayor of Indianapolis and President of the Hoosier Motor Club; W.S. Gilbreath, Secretary of the Hoosier Motor Club; Master John Bookwalter and Fred I. Willis, Ex-President of the Federation of American Motorcyclists and a director of the Hoosier Motor Club. The car was driven and photograph taken by W. McK. White, Advertising Manager of the Marion Motor Car Company."
