Postcard depicting a map of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Printed on front: "Map of Pennsylvania Turnpike, showing connecting routes. America's super highway." Printed on back: "Throughout the entire length of the Turnpike gasoline service stations and restaurants are located on both sides of the roadway at staggered points. The stations provided by the Standard Oil Co. of Penna. are unique and de luxe. They are built along early Pennsylvania architectural lines. The adjoining attractive restaurants are operated by the famous Howard Johnson. Minsky Bros. & Co., Publishing Division, Pittsburgh, Pa. 'C.T. Art-Colortone' (reg. U.S. Pat. Off.)" Handwritten on back: "Hi Linda! How are you? I bet you're having lots of fun?!! I can just see you in swimming while I have to stay here & work. I hope you get a nice sun tan, but watch out for those mosquitoes. Here's a picture of the Super Highway in case you like to visit us sometime. Bye now, Ann Diamond." Card is postmarked July 25, 1945.
