The pathfinding tour covered a route from Detroit, Michigan to New Orleans, Louisiana, but the 1912 Glidden Tour was canceled. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, 1231 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Mich., telephone North 1745." Handwritten on back: "Messrs. Pelletier, Spooner, Ross and Westgard hold a roadside consultation near Memphis, Tenn., 1912."
