Polk & Co., April seventh, 1882-1932. The years of planting and sowing; of work, and a smile, and help, and knowing; of making the cares of others lighter; this old directory business brighter. Our hands and our hearts reach out today; with thanks and a greeting and we pause to pray; may the directory gods have you in their keeping; for fifty years more of joyful reaping." Signatures inscribed on plate rim.
