Printed on back: "These locks are the world's greatest examples of engineering skill and of man's triumph over nature. During the shipping season 25,000 Great Lakes vessels pass through the 'Soo Locks,' a greater tonnage than any other system of locks in the world. Pub. by A.E. Young, Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. Made in U.S.A. Handwritten on back: "Oct. 6-39. Left Det. at 756. One hour at Bay City, 40 min at Midland-Climax. Dinner at Gladwin, 30 mins at Mackinac here at 650 then after supper went for a little ride believe it or not." Card is postmarked October 5, 1939.
