Suzanne visits Chandler factories in Cleveland. Mlle. Lenglen, French tennis ace, sees building on Chandler Six while visiting Cleveland. Suzanne Lenglen, the incomparable -- Suzanne the greatest tennis player of her sex the world has yet seen, visited Cleveland October 27th and the balance of the week to show Clevelanders professional tennis under the direction of C.C. Pyle, promoter extraordinary. Mlle. Lenglen, who greatly admires the flexibility of Chandler's famed Pikes Peak motor from her experiences in Chandler cars in every city she has thus far visited, has arranged to travel in Chandlers exclusively during her American tour. The French tennis ace, her mother, Mr. Paul Peret and other members of the Pyle-Lenglen entourage spent a most interesting hour and a half visiting Chandler factories watching the building of the Chandler Six. Suzanne expressed astonishment at the production methods and rapidly moving conveyor line systems she noticed in the Chandler shops. 'We have nothing of this kind in France,' she said, 'and this little trip has been one of the most interesting experiences I have yet enjoyed during my American tour.' Mlle. Lenglen was particularly impressed with the Chandler machine shop and conveyor assembly line in Plant #1, and the efficient painting and upholstery departments maintained in Chandler's #2 plant. She saw cars in process of complete finishing by lacquer spraying methods from the rough metal to the completely finished car." Handwritten on back: "Chandler."
