View of the Fort Mackinac and Marquette Park on Mackinac Island, Michigan. Printed on front: "The fort and Marquette Park, Mackinac Island, Mich." Printed on back: "Fort Mackinac, Mackinac Island, Mich. The military post was transferred to this point in 1780; its timbers were brought from the mainland, the stones quarried on the Island, and limekiln used for making the lime can still be seen near Ft. Holmes. The fort was abandoned by the government in 1895 and is now in charge of a superintendent appointed by the Michigan State Park Board. Copyright 1914 by G.H. Wickman."
