View of men jumping from boathouse at the farm of Walter E. Flanders, Orchard Lake, Michigan, during the pathfinding expedition for the 1912 Glidden Tour. The American Press Humorists were hosted at an event at the farm. The pathfinding tour covered a route from Detroit, Michigan to New Orleans, Louisiana, but the 1912 Glidden Tour was canceled. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, 1231 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Mich., telephone North 1745." Handwritten on back: "Press humorists at Mr. Flanders farm, Sept. 1912. Tours--Glidden Tour, 1912."
