View of a crowd at the dedication of a monument for the First Regiment of Michigan Engineers in Lansing, Michigan. The Regiment built roads, bridges and communication lines during the Civil War. Handwritten on back: "This is not a very clear picture but it was the best they could get on such a cloudy day. If there are any better ones in the paper, I'll gladly send you one. Sincerely, Miss Kennedy." Card is postmarked October 10, 1912.
