1928 Cadillac Series 341 automobile interior
View of the interior of a 1928 Cadillac Series 341 car built for General Motors president Alfred P. Sloan. Handwritten on back: "1928 Cadillac Series 341. Rear interior of a special car built for General Motors president, Alfred P. Sloan. Of special note is the elaborate woodwork used throughout, being highly carved & extensively used. The right auxiliary seat is rear-facing; the auxiliary seat on the left is side-facing. Frosted urn shapes are carved into the vanity mirrors set in the quarter panels. Reading lamps feature special exposed bulbs. Floor covering is lamb's wool. The companion cases, set just above each side arm rest, are inlaid to a rather dramatic degree. The body-type is what Fleetwood then called 'transformable,' meaning that the driving compartment could be either open or enclosed, being equipped with an all-weather fold-away roof. The roof of the passenger compartment of this car is entirely stationary. Special Cadillac interior, Sloan & C.J. Fisher."
