View of Henry M. Leland posing with a 1906 Cadillac car, nicknamed "Osceola." Label on back: "Henry Leland and Osceola, 1930. Mr. Leland was then 87 years old." Handwritten on back: "First enclosed car ever built was this 1 cylinder, called Osceola. 1906 Cadillac, 1 cy., 10 hp, 76" whb ~ 82" long, 87" high. 2-p. coupe, $1200 f.o.b. Specially designed & constructed in late 1905 for 1) personal use of Henry M. Leland & 2) to test feasibility of putting an enclosed car into production (which Cadillac did a year later). Car christened 'Osceola,' and remained in Leland family use until early 1930's. Mich. 30, 3008 license plate."
