Grab
Description
View of several houses along the Indian River in Indian River, Michigan. Printed on front: "Indian River, Mich." Handwritten on back: " ... early to dedicate the bridge. The first day was bitter cold with winds up to 100 mi per hr at the bridge and 75 mi. here, the tail end of the tornado that hit Detroit but the second day was lovely and Mr. G. and Gerry went up to Mackinaw City and saw a wonderful parade. Today we saw the canoe races come thru right where this picture was taken (minus snow). I want to send you a Dedication Edition of the Cheboygan paper but will wait to see if you are in N. Carolina or in Fla. We all send our best to you and Spotty. Laura Giese." Card is postmarked 1958.
