Description
View of Tony Memino and Del Martin installing a Chrysler Imperial engine at the Chrysler plant. Label on back: "Putting the 'heart' in a Chrysler. Near the beginning of the chassis assembly line, the Chrysler engine is installed on its floating power rubber mountings. Engines are carried almost a quarter of a mile on an overload conveyor to be picked off by the assembly line crew when needed. Tony Memino and Del Martin, who comprise this crew, work so expertly that it takes them less than a minute to install this big 110-horsepower Chrysler Imperial engine." Handwritten on back: "Chrysler, 1937."
