Printed on back: "E.A. Bishop, Racine, Wis. Made in U.S.A." Handwritten on back: :Dear Mrs. Holmes, I suppose you have heard of our bad luck. Our home burned to the ground last Monday and we are living in a little shanty with the ground for a floor. The neighbors put it up for us that day. Everyone was so kind I can't tell you how kind. We are as well as we can expect. Georgie [undecipherable]." Card is postmarked May 17, 1913.
