Printed on back: "Fort Wilkins, a well preserved landmark of old days, having been built in 1844 for protection against the Indians, is located at the north end of U.S. 41. This fort is located on the shores of Lake Fannie Hooe at Copper Harbor, Mich. Published by Laurium Commercial School, Laurium, Mich." Typed on back: "June 6. Mislaid your address. Just located it. Was sort of amused at it when I first saw it. Mrs. H. just howled when she saw it and was going to write you right away, but I guess you haven't seen the letter yet. Will write you soon now that address has come to light. Hope all is going fine with you. Am gating out some myself and keeping very busy. Find time to drop a line. A.J.H."
