Photo caption on back from Packard News Service: "New "showoff" the 1948 Packard super eight convertible, described as "America's first all new postwar convertible," the model well justifies its claim of being "new from the tires up," fresh features include its specially built frame, 145-horsepower straight eight engine and rakish body with "flush contour" styling, which extends over the wheels in clean, graceful sweeps, a supplement to the present Clipper line, this new Packard is being readied for quantity production in June."
