View of children and motorists in Palmer-Singer car, followed by other cars, during the 1909 annual excursion for orphans sponsored by the Orphan's Automobile Day Committee of New York. Approximately 1,800 children were taken on a trip to the Dreamland amusement park at Coney Island. Stamped on back: "Spooner & Wells, Inc., photographers, telephones 3472-3473 Columbus, 1931 Broadway, New York." Handwritten on back: "P & S in lead. Tours--New York Orphans Day outing, 1909."
