View of children and motorists posing in cars and waving flags in front of the Orphan Asylum during the 1906 second annual excursion for orphans sponsored by the New York Motor Club. 1,200 children were taken on a trip to the Dreamland amusement park at Coney Island. Stamped on back: "Photo by F. Ed. Spooner, 1536 B'way, telephone 6536-38th St., New York, N.Y." Handwritten on back: "Orphans parade, June 1 [sic]. Tours--New York Orphans Day outing, 1906."
