Business Department, the Business Institute
View rows of desks and chairs in classroom in the Business Department of the Business Institute. Printed on front: "The Business Department, the Business Institute, Detroit, Michigan. The class rooms and the Burroughs calculating machine and comptometer department are at." Printed on back: "In 1906 the present owners of the Business Institute planned a thoroughly modern business school, which they determined to make the best of its kind to be found anywhere. They did not plan a large school. They decided, though, that every effort should be made to provide the best in equipment, courses of study, in teaching staff, in thorough, up-to-date instruction, and in satisfactory employment service for graduates. As the result of carrying out this policy, The Business Institute has grown steadily in popularity and attendance until it is now unquestionably the largest, best equipped business school in Michigan and is one of the leading schools of its kind in America. Considerably over two thousand students attend the day and evening sessions of the Business Institute each year. The Business Institute is still owned by the men who organized it, and under their management the policy of thorough, high grade service to the student has been continuously in force. Remember, there is always a reason for the success of any institution, it is quality of service or quality of product."
