Peggy Gerke and Marie Dumontier start to weave the 186 wires which will go into a wire harness the Hudson Motor Car Co. makes for Boeing B-29 Superfortress. One of the wires is 900 inches long. Later fittings and plugs will be placed on the individual wires. A separate wooden board is used for each of the 146 harnesses Hudson makes for the three B-29 fuselage sections it builds." Stamped on back: "Released for immediate use by Hudson Motor Car Company, Public Relations Division, 12601 East Jefferson Avenue, Detroit 14, Michigan. Where required, release has been received from proper authority in Army or Navy Public Relations." Handwritten on back: "Women workers."
