View of men and women workers inspecting parts for Pratt & Whitney aircraft engines at the Nash-Kelvinator Corporation plant. Label on back: "2,000 hp Pratt & Whitney aircraft engine master rod. Photograph #75082. In the final inspection as shown in the foreground, is the checking of parallelism of both bores. These bores are required to be parallel within .005 in 6 inches. The men at the surface plate are checking face parallelism along with other machining concentricities, to control all machining operations. The Navy Inspector at the right is truly the 'go and no go' on all final inspection on all parts as made by the Seaman Body Division of Nash-Kelvinator Corporation." Handwritten on back: "Women workers."
